Role Overview

Sunda International is seeking a Shipping Supervisor (Issuing Supervisor) in Lusaka to manage outbound logistics, inventory issuance, vehicle loading, and facility safety. This position ensures accurate order fulfillment, efficient dispatch workflows, exact stock counts, and compliance with security guidelines.

Core Duties

The incumbent evaluates waybills and requisition paperwork to plan daily dispatches, oversees cargo preparation, and performs quality and quantity verifications prior to final release. Responsibilities include directing transport vehicle movements within the yard, assigning tasks to loading crews, and supervising safe handling and stacking to prevent product damage. The supervisor monitors operational zones for hazards, logs shipment irregularities, enforces security protocols against theft or loss, and oversees end-of-shift housekeeping and equipment storage.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Full Grade 12 Certificate alongside a Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Stores Management, or a related discipline. Applicants are required to have demonstrable supervisory background in warehouse or shipping environments and hold active membership with ZCILT. Essential competencies include strong inventory reconciliation abilities, leadership skills, and familiarity with OSHE standards and local labor legislation.
