Role Overview

First Quantum Mineral seeks a Senior Specialist for Mobile Warehouse operations based in Kalumbila. This position involves overseeing procurement staff, tracking daily inventory replenishment, and maintaining strict alignment with organizational guidelines. The incumbent will handle urgent purchase tracking, evaluate critical inventory thresholds using ABC classification, design system reports within Pronto, and manage vendor interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct purchasing personnel and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Supervise inventory orders and maintain consignment stock levels.
  • Establish operational procedures and coordinate with internal users and suppliers.
  • Contribute pricing data for budgets, project scopes, and engineering estimates.
  • Adhere to corporate health, safety, and environmental guidelines across all tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Holds a University Degree in Procurement and Supply or a recognized CIPS credential.
  • Maintains active, fully paid-up membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
  • Brings a minimum of 5 years of direct supervisory or managerial background, ideally within the mining sector.
  • Demonstrates proficiency using enterprise resource planning software, specifically Pronto, alongside strong spreadsheet capabilities.
  • Possesses leadership competencies, analytical capability, and flexibility to travel between operational locations.
